UK postcode districts
2,414 postcode districts across England and Wales, holding 1,586,404 live postcodes. Each district page shows the towns inside it, its wards and Westminster constituencies, and its deprivation profile.
A postcode district is the first half of a postcode: BA2, LN12, M1. It is Royal Mail's delivery geography rather than an official statistical one, which is exactly why it is useful: it is the geography people actually know their address by.
